The third day of the second Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan was washed out due to incessant rain at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Monday.

Due to the effect of Cyclone Jawad, the rain remained incessant throughout the day, the cover never came off, but the weather forecast for four days is better.

“Unfortunately, Day 3 of the 2nd #BANvPAK Test has been canceled due to incessant rain,” ICC tweeted.

Earlier on the second day, incessant rain and a wet outfield ensured that only 6.2 overs were bowled during the second day of the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Dhaka.

In the revised second session, the visitors had scored 188 for 2 – Babar Azam (71 not out) and Azhar Ali (52 not out) shared an unbeaten 118 – before heaven opened once again. The umpires eventually decided to call off play for the day as there were puddles on the ground and the lighting was not very good either.

Brief Scores: Pakistan 188/2 (Babar Azam 71 not out, Azhar Ali 52 not out, Taijul Islam 2/49) vs Bangladesh.
