Bajaj To Launch Platina CNG With Lower Maintenance; Know Details

Bajaj Platina CNG: Say goodbye to worries about rising petrol prices when riding a bike. According to media reports, Bajaj is gearing up to introduce its Platina model in a CNG version. The prototype is already in place, and the company is also working on an LPG variant. This move is expected to provide cost-effective daily commuting options while reducing the cost of servicing compared to petrol-powered bikes.

Production in Aurangabad Plant

As reported by Autocar India, the first Bajaj CNG motorcycle could be the Platina, known by its codename Bruiser E101. The market can anticipate its launch by mid-2024, with production taking place at Bajaj’s Aurangabad plant.

A Vision for CNG Motorcycle Production

Rakesh Sharma, ED of Bajaj Auto, has expressed the company’s commitment to addressing the challenges of curbing imports and reducing pollution. Bajaj is set to expand its portfolio with a range of “cleaner fuels,” including electric vehicles (EV), ethanol, LPG, and CNG. The plan aims to manufacture more than 100,000 CNG motorcycles annually.

Cruising at Top Speed

Currently, the Bajaj Platina 100 on the market is equipped with a 102 cc engine, boasting a top speed of 90 km/h. The bike offers 7.9 PS of power with a 4-speed transmission. It features a single-piece comfortable seat and comes in four different color options. Drum brakes on both the front and rear tires ensure safety.

Convenient Features and Stylish Design

The Bajaj Platina is equipped with a halogen headlight, enhancing its visual appeal. It comes with an air-cooled engine and LED DRL, generating a torque of 8.3 Nm. The bike sports an 11-liter fuel tank, a tubular single-cradle frame, and stylish turn indicators. Comfortable rides are facilitated by the telescopic fork in the front and twin-shock suspension at the rear. In the market, this bike competes with models like the Hero Splendor Plus, Hero HF Deluxe, and Honda Shine 100.
