Baisakhi 2023: Indian Railways Adds New Destinations to Guru Kripa Yatra Tourist Train

Indian Railways is operating special tourist trains under Bharat Gaurav Yatra covering pilgrimage sites. Expanding operations under the programme, the organization has added new destinations ahead of Baisakhi 2023. To cover the new destinations, the Railways will operate special tourist trains on Guru Kripa Yatra, which will run on specially created routes for the devotees. The tourist train will take tourists on a special journey of 11 days and 10 nights, covering various destinations. It is noteworthy that the yatra will start from Lucknow on 5th April and end on 15th of the same month.

According to a statement from the railway administration, “After detailed consultations with stakeholders at various levels, Indian Railways has specially conceived this tour of holy Sikh pilgrimage sites located in different parts of the country.”

Guru Kripa Train: Destinations

  • Sri Kesgarh Sahib Gurdwara and Virasat-e-Khalsa at Anandpur Sahib
  • Gurdwara Sri Patalpuri Sahib at Kiratpur Sahib
  • Gurudwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib in Sirhind
  • Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar
  • Sri Damdama Sahib and Bathinda
  • Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded
  • Gurudwara Sri Guru Nanak Jheera Sahib in Bidar
  • Takht Shri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib

The Guru Kripa train will have 9 Sleeper Class coaches, 1 AC-3 Tier and 1 AC- 2 Tier coaches. With a capacity of 678 passengers, this tour package has three categories: Standard, Superior and Comfort. According to IRCTC, this all-inclusive travel package essentially includes a pleasant train ride in specially made, ergonomic coaches, full meals on and off the train, hotel accommodation in high-quality hotels, and sightseeing tours Apart from this, the entire road transfer will be included. ,

Meanwhile, Indian Railways is also running Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC tourist train named Shri Ram-Janki Yatra: Ayodhya to Janakpur. The train covers the distance between Ayodhya in India and Janakpur in Nepal, two major pilgrimage sites. En route, the train covers several pilgrimage sites.
