Pathan recently replaced Baahubali 2 (Hindi version) at the box office to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.

Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan is breaking records at the box office. After a long drought in Hindi cinema barring a few films like Brahmastra and Drishyam 2, the Yash Raj spy-thriller has given the right hope to the entertainment industry. With the film crossing the Rs 500 crore mark at the box office, Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films are as ambitious as ever about their espionage universe. Though it has been more than a month since the film released, it is definitely a big achievement for him. Now the producer of Bahubali has congratulated King Khan on this achievement.

On Saturday, Shobu Yarlagadda took to his Twitter handle to write a heartfelt note for the makers of Pathan. He wrote, “Congratulations to @iamsrk sir, siddharth anand @yrf and the entire team of Pathan on crossing @BaahubaliMovie 2 Hindi NBOC. Records are made to be broken and I am glad it was none other than @iamsrk who did it.”

His tweet was later amplified by Yash Raj Films who thanked the producer for being an inspiration. He wrote, “Nothing is more thrilling than seeing how Indian cinema is flourishing!! … Thank you @Shobu_ for giving us a landmark film like @BaahubaliMovie directed by the visionary @ssrajamouli – it has inspired us to work harder. @iamsrk @deepikapadukone @thejohanAbraham #SiddharthAnand.”

If SacNilk’s box office estimates are to be believed, Pathan collected Rs 1.20 crore on its sixth Friday, taking the film’s nett collection to Rs 528.89 crore. Several lucrative deals in the domestic market such as buy one get one offer and low ticket prices helped. Pathan’s lifetime collection is Rs 1026 crore, of which Rs 640 crore has come from India and Rs 386 crore from the overseas market. Everyone from Gauri Khan to Siddharth Anand celebrated this achievement.
