Badshah paused his performance at GraFest 2024 to express his wish to end the fight with Yo Yo Honey Singh, attributing it to misunderstandings.

At a concert in Dehradun, Badshah publicly resolved his feud with Yo Yo Honey Singh. He paused his performance at GraFest 2024 to express his wish to end the fight, attributing it to misunderstandings. Badshah spoke of unity, wished Honey Singh well, and said he is ready to move on. “There was a phase in my life where I held this grudge against one, and now I want to call it quits and leave that grudge behind – and that’s Honey Singh. I was unhappy because of some misunderstanding but then I realised when we were together. Jodne waale bahut kam the, todne waale bahut the (The number of people wanting to break us apart outnumbered the number of people trying to unite). Today, I just want to let everyone know I’ve left that phase behind and I wish him all the best,” he said.

Badshah and Honey Singh, well-known rappers in India, started their careers together in the rap group Mafia Mundeer along with Ikka, Lil Golu and Raftaar. They released popular tracks like Khol Botal, Begani Naar Buri and Delhi Ke Deewane. However, after a public feud, they parted ways and often criticised each other on social media.

After the concert, the 38-year-old musician took to X, and wrote, “Peace and progress (sic).”

After both leaving Mafia Mundeer in 2009, Badshah and Honey Singh’s relationship worsened. They split following a public argument and continued to mock each other on social media. Their split led to ongoing animosity, evident in their occasionally critical lyrics about each other. Not long back, at a concert, rapper Badshah took a jab at Yo Yo Honey Singh after facing boos from his fans. He had said, “Ek pen aur paper dena. Gift laaya hu tumhare liye. Kuch lyrics likh ke de deta hu. Papa ka comeback ho jaayega tumhare. (Give me a pen and a paper. I will write some lyrics, your father will make his comeback).”
