New Delhi: Amidst reports of Rajkummar Rao marrying his longtime girlfriend Patralekhaa, his co-star Bhumi Pednekar has announced the new release date of his upcoming film ‘Badhaai Do’. The family drama, which was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on the Republic Day weekend in 2022, has now been postponed.
Bhumi Pednekar took to her official Instagram handle and announced that the upcoming family drama will now hit the screens on February 4, 2022.
The ‘Raksha Bandhan’ actress wrote on her social media, “Badhaai Do is now releasing in cinemas on February 4, 2022! We can’t wait for you to see this family entertainer on the big screen. See you in the film.” !”
The ‘Badhaai Do’ team shared the update with a beautiful message, which read, ‘Pyaar ki bhi dil hai! Badhaai Do in the month of love will now be released on the big screen. The note further read, ‘We can’t wait for you to see this family entertainer on the big screen. See you at the movies.’
‘Badhaai Do’ is the official remake of Ayushmann Khurrana’s 2018 film ‘Badhaai Ho’, which starred Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in the lead roles. The upcoming family drama is written by Suman Adhikari and Akshat Ghildiyal, and helmed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni.
