Baragaon PHC becomes the first PHC in health facilities to have NQAS certification with 85.01% marks

Varanasi: In a significant development, the Baragaon Primary Health Center (PHC) has received the National Quality Assurance Standard certification. NQAS has been developed keeping in mind the specific requirements for public health facilities as well as global best practices. The standards are primarily meant for providers to assess their quality for improvement through pre-determined standards and to bring their facilities for certification.
District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma has congratulated the Health Department on this achievement. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Rahul Singh said that it is a matter of pride for the district. This achievement has been achieved through continuous improvement in health facilities. He said that Baragaon PHC has become the first such PHC to get NQAS certification by securing 85.01% marks in health facilities.
Dr Shashikant Upadhyay, Medical Officer, Baragaon PHS said that all necessary modern facilities are available in this PHC. Efforts will continue to further improve health services.
Divisional Quality Adviser Dr RP Solanki said that the certification was given after several rounds of internal and external assessment. He said that for the last five years, Baragaon PHS has been selected for the State Level Kayakalp Award.
