Bade Miyan Chote Miyan: Ali Abbas Zafar begins pre-production of Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer

A few days after denying the rumors of Akshay Kumar And Tiger Shroff starrer upcoming action-thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar has now started the pre-production of the film. Ali took to his official Instagram handle to make an announcement regarding the film. The upcoming film is a follow-up to Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda’s 1998 hit ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, which was directed by David Dhawan.

Zafar, best known for his roles in “Sultan”, “Tiger Zinda Hai” and “Bharat”, shared an update with fans and followers on social media.

“Preproduction Diaries #BMCM,” the filmmaker, who has also penned the film’s screenplay, captioned his picture.

Soon after the post was shared, Arjun Kapoor wrote in the comments section, “Halka Haat.”

Tiger Shroff also wrote in the comment section, “Sir.”

Soon after BMCM’s announcement, rumors started circulating that the film was being shelved. In his interview, Ali Abbas Zafar spoke to Hindustan Times and clarified on the rumours that are on the shelf. He said, ‘It is absolutely baseless. We are very much on track and there is no truth in the rumours that have been shelved. ,

Revealing that the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-starrer is very much on track, the director further told HT, “We are currently working on the pre-production. I don’t know where these rumors are coming from. A film of such a large scale requires months of pre-production. We will go on floors by the end of this year or early next year and shoot in the UK.

As per the report, speculation intensified after reality personality Kamal R Khan aka KRK tweeted, ‘Producer, director Ali Abbas Zafar has decided not to make #bademiyanchotemiyan film with Akshay and Tiger…’ This has led many to believe that the film has been put on the back burner, but this does not appear to be the case.

As per a Pinkvilla report, the total budget of the film is Rs 350 crore, which makes it one of the most expensive Hindi films of all time.

The announcement regarding the film was released back in February and the film is expected to hit the screens in Christmas 2023.
