Actress Divyanka Tripathi was speculated to return to the daily soap with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2. However, things did not work out and Divyanka turned down the offer even after giving a look test. He might have been paired opposite Nakuul Mehta and reports earlier suggested that Divyanka was not comfortable pairing with Nakuul as she looked older than him on screen.
Confirming the same, Divyanka told ETimes, “As far as reports of me looking older than her on screen are considered, in fact I completely agree with it. Because when I was offered the show and the idea was proposed to me, I was shocked to hear about Jodi and my family reacted the same way. They thought we would look a little different. It seemed to me that Nakul and I would not match or look good together on screen. I’m fine with that idea. I think someone else who will come on board to play the lead role will do justice to the show and I had expressed my views. I’ve done it personally.”
Meanwhile, Divyanka is recently seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. It was only after the first task that host Rohit Shetty said that he saw a finalist in him. Divyanka also hosted Crime Patrol before Khatron Ke Khiladi. She has been working in the TV industry for 15 years now and counting and is best remembered for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.
