The film is about complexities of a rare condition, heteropaternal superfecundation, set against a backdrop of comedy and chaos.

Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk starrer romantic-comedy film Bad Newz is all set to hit the theatres this Friday, July 19. The trailer and songs of the film, especially Tauba Tauba, have garnered a lot of buzz on social media. Fans, now, can’t wait to watch the madness the trio creates on the big screen. Much to their delight, the makers of Bad Newz have now opened the ticket booking window for the film.

To share the update, actor Vicky Kaushal dropped a video on Instagram and captioned, “Best news! Best news! #BadNewz… ki ADVANCE BOOKING OPEN ho chuki hai!!! #BadNewz in cinemas this Friday!”

Helmed by Anand Tiwari and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production, the film is about the complexities of heteropaternal superfecundation, set against a backdrop of comedy and chaos. The film’s offbeat storyline in which Triptii Dimri’s character discovers that she is pregnant with children from two separate fathers, played by Vicky and Ammy, has piqued audiences’ interest in its concept.

Bad Newz is said to be a successor of the 2019 comedy-drama film Good Newwz which featured Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh.

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal has gained much appreciation for his dance moves in the song Tauba Tauba. The actor recently shared his experience of working in the film and said, “For me, shooting this film was like home because Anand Tiwari and Karan Johar, the people I worked with, exuded that feel-good vibe and the script was very good. I found the concept of the film new and the kind of humour it has, even though I haven’t explored the comedy genre that much as an actor.”

Triptii, on the other hand, while talking to IANS opened up about the challenges she faced while working in a comedy genre film. She said, “I have done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I feel that as an actor, it is really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a little difficult in the beginning. But in a way, it was really good for me.”

On Sunday, the makers of Bad Newz unveiled a new track Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam which is a recreation of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic song from the film Duplicate. How excited are you for Bad Newz?
