Back to the Roots: Ajinkya Rahane visits his school and first cricket ground – watch

After representing Mumbai in the first half of the Ranji 2022 season, India batsman Ajinkya Rahane is spending time with his family. On Wednesday, he visited his alma mater ‘SV Joshi High School’ in Dombivli, reminiscing his days spent at the institution. He was accompanied by his wife Radhika and daughter Arya.

Rahane posted a video of his school tour on social media. “There is something about visiting your roots that keeps you grounded. Was in Dombivli with my family and no matter how the place changes, it keeps the same place in my heart,” he posted on Instagram.

Rahane again toured where he learned the basics of the game. A Test specialist, the 33-year-old looked back when he took up the game.

“I wanted to come here for many years and today it happened. This is where I started cricket, the school supported me. The school has gone through many changes now, but being here felt very special.
