After representing Mumbai in the first half of the Ranji 2022 season, India batsman Ajinkya Rahane is spending time with his family. On Wednesday, he visited his alma mater ‘SV Joshi High School’ in Dombivli, reminiscing his days spent at the institution. He was accompanied by his wife Radhika and daughter Arya.

Rahane posted a video of his school tour on social media. “There is something about visiting your roots that keeps you grounded. Was in Dombivli with my family and no matter how the place changes, it keeps the same place in my heart,” he posted on Instagram.

“I wanted to come here for many years and today it happened. This is where I started cricket, the school supported me. The school has gone through many changes now, but being here felt very special.

Rahane was selected for the ongoing 2-match Test series against Sri Lanka at home. He and Cheteshwar Pujara were asked by the chief selector to play domestic cricket and regain their lost form. He recently scored a century in the Ranji Trophy against Saurashtra. He will now return for Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming Indian Premier League.
