Babil reveals Irrfan Khan’s reaction on receiving a signed book from Dilip Kumar

Mumbai: Legendary actor Dilip Kumar passed away on July 7, 2021. The actor succumbed to age-related health problems and the actor was admitted to the hospital on June 30 after he complained of breathlessness. As the news of his demise spread, celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and many more condoled the demise of the ‘tragedy king’ of the Hindi film industry.

Late Irrfan Khan on Babil shared heartfelt wishes for Dilip Kumar and also revealed the reaction of the ‘Maqbool’ actor when he received a signed book of Dilip Kumar’s autobiography from the legend himself.

Sharing the picture of the signed book, Babil wrote, ‘I was at my farmhouse, preparing for ‘Kaala’, when I got the news, how could I do it in time for the death of a man? Shame. Who inspired Baba and me for countless ages. I had no telecommunication network and I literally came back to Mumbai to pay homage to the Guru.”

The ‘Kaala’ actor continued, “Baba used to look at Dilip sahib in complete awe, and believe me there were very few instances when baba felt awe, the great Dilip sahib was the one to demand that the medium of his irreplaceability It was demanded from him. Charm and subtlety. I remember the first time I fell in love with Dilip sahab, it was ‘Andaz’. His portrayal of the extremely complex emotion that he got in the song ‘Tute Na Dil Tote Na’ Had to do the project, I knew I was in love. I am so grateful that we got a chance to be mesmerized with him as a family.”

Babil ended his heartfelt remark by writing, “Thank you so much Dilip sahib, you were way ahead of your time. | When we got a copy of his autobiography signed by him, Baba and I were a little overwhelmed, in the best way possible. To touch these pages. I can’t explain how it feels. May your soul travel to a world you wished for when all fame and money became clear as an illusion, and the true purpose of growth began to come into your being. You travel safely and peacefully. Meanwhile, on a related note, Babil Khan is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the Netflix film ‘Kaala’, which stars ‘Bulbul’ actress Tripti Dimri in the lead role. ‘Kaala’ is produced by Anushka Sharma.
