Irrfan’s son Babil Khan mined another series of priceless memories from the year 2016. The soon-to-be actor is known to treat fans with rare anecdotes from the life of his late great father. In his latest post on Instagram, Babil revisits some of the special moments from the sets of the film Inferno. The behind-the-scenes photos feature main cast members including Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones and Sidsey Babette Knudsen. The action mystery thriller directed by Ron Howard also starred Omar C., Ben Foster and Paul Ritter. Sharing the post, Babil wrote, ‘I have a crazy legacy to live on.
In July, Babil announced the debut of Irrfan’s unreleased film, Dubai Returns. Originally slated for release in 2005, the quirky comedy was delayed due to legal issues. Babil informed fans that the film would be available for free to watch online on YouTube.
Babil will be making his acting debut with Anvita Dutt’s upcoming film Kaala, produced by Anushka Sharma’s production house Clean Slate Films. The film, starring Tripti Dimri, is set for an OTT release on Netflix.
Recently, Babil revealed in a social media post that he would drop out of college to pursue a career in acting. He bid farewell to his friends from the University of Westminster, where Babil was studying filmmaking. Dedicating a heartfelt post, he wrote, “The movie BA, is out today, due to over 120 credits I am giving it for acting so far.”
Later, he announced that despite dropping out of college, he received a bachelor’s degree. Babil wrote, “Somehow I quit my studies and got my degree.”
Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar will soon be collaborating with Babil for a project. Backed by Ronnie Lahiri in association with Sheel Kumar’s Rising Sun Films production, details of the project are yet to be disclosed.
