Ayushmann plays a gynecologist in this comedy campus drama rakuli and Shefali Shah. Feeling Kashyap, who will be making his directorial debut with ‘Doctor Ji’, said in a statement, “With the shooting of the film completed, we are now gearing up to get the film ready for the theatres. I am Ayushmann, Rakul. Really happy to have the opportunity to work with Shefali, Junglee and the entire team of ‘Doctor Ji’, who stood by me and who is visible on screen. It has been an enriching experience. I am watching the film in front of the audience. Really excited to bring it.”
After two successful collaborations’Bareily Ki Barfi‘(2017) and’Badhaai Ho‘ (2018), both Ayushmann and Junglee Pictures have worked together again to score a hat-trick at the box office. Talking about the film, Amrita Pandey of Junglee Pictures said in a statement, “The writers of the film – Sumit, Saurabh and Vishal have collaborated with Anubhuti to create a brilliant script for ‘Doctor Ji’ which Anubhuti has taken to the next level. We can’t wait to bring it to theaters on June 17 next year.”
‘Doctor G’ is co-written by Anubhuti Kashyap, Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh and Saurabh Bharat.
