Clay pots have air spaces that keep water fresh and cool for hours. It helps in reducing acidity and skin problems. Not only this, water kept in an earthen pot improves vitality and vigor.

Most of the food we eat becomes acidic in the body and produces toxins. Clay is alkaline in nature, which interacts with acidic foods and provides adequate pH balance. It helps in keeping away acidity and gastric related problems.

This water is devoid of any kind of chemicals and thus drinking earthen pot water helps in boosting the metabolism. It is best to drink water from an earthen pot during this season as it is gentle on the throat and its temperature is ideal which does not aggravate one’s cough and cold.

To make the pot more durable, soak it in water for an hour before using it for the first time.

If you are using earthen pots for cooking, do not use them on high flame as it may break the pot. No soap or chemical liquid should be used for washing dishes. Use lemon and warm water to clean the utensils.
