Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Awarded as the best wildlife and eco-tourism state in the 7th edition of International Tourism Expo and Conclave held in Delhi on Friday night.
The Chief Guest of the function, Principal Secretary, Tourism Department Shiv Shekhar Shukla presented the awards.
Madhya Pradesh also got the Best State Award for Tourism Marketing Campaign.
“Madhya Pradesh is blessed with rich wildlife and the forest area is spread over 77,700 sq km. It has several wildlife hotspots along with 11 national parks and 24 wildlife sanctuaries,” a spokesman of the department said.
He said that the State has organized various promotional programs like Orchha Utsav, Mandu Utsav and Jal Mahotsav to actively promote state tourism. Campaigns like ‘Buffer Mein Safar’ and ‘Monsoon Magic’ also attracted people towards MP. news network
