Australia’s PM says 80% of population needs vaccination before reopening

Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Friday that 80% of the country’s adult population will have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before the country can begin reopening its borders to selected countries.

That level of vaccination would expand the “travel bubble” with other candidate countries, and impose “special rules” for those vaccinated because they would pose less health risk to the community, he said.
