In a revolutionary move, Cricket Australia has decided to pull out of its upcoming ODI series against Afghanistan amid ongoing unrest following the Taliban’s recent announcement on women’s education and employment.

According to a report in cricket.com.au, Cricket Australia had consultations with several stakeholders and the Australian government and they have decided to call off the ODI series in the UAE.

Cricket Australia also issued a statement condemning the Taliban restrictions on women’s education and employment.

Since the Taliban took control of the nation, women’s participation in the sport has been affected by a number of restrictions, which CA has condemned.

In their statement, the Australian board confirmed that they are still in talks Afghanistan The Cricket Board is hoping for a change for Afghan women and girls.
