AU signs MoU with Indus Setu Global Foundation for collaboration. Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: The Allahabad University authorities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indus Setu Global Foundation at Stanford University for mutual cooperation in various fields. The MoU was signed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Sangeeta Srivastava on behalf of the university and Priya Tandon and Nandini Tandon on behalf of Indus Setu Global Foundation.
The scope of collaboration programs will be interdisciplinary, academic and include world-class academics, industry executives, government leaders at the local and national levels. Collaboration will take place in several key emerging areas of research including information technology, environmental protection, social justice, sustainable development, etc.
According to To Public Relations Officer (PRO), Jaya Kapoor, “One of the key areas involved in collaboration is to encourage innovation and entrepreneurial partnerships with Silicon Valley. Training, skill development and research and employment with the Silicon Valley technology industry at the highest levels of employment.” open exposure to opportunities.The MoU will provide a bridge for US-India international exchanges around technology education.
The new education policy emphasizes on training to work with information technology with special emphasis on AI. The MoU will help in broadening the capacity to work in this direction. Another very important area that the MoU has been agreed to develop involves working on environmental protection measures through promoting global views in the area. The MoU will also work on the areas of healthcare.
In the current circumstances of the pandemic, it becomes even more important to focus on strategies to deal with the crisis. The proposal also hopes to gain an understanding of the objective of sustainable development to meet the challenges involved in achieving an optimal balance between environmental protection and development needs. He said that keeping in view the fact that water crisis has gradually become one of the biggest challenges across the world, the MoU will create a space for engagement with global views on the need for water conservation. Another major area that the MoU will cover is social justice, humanism and raising awareness about diversity.
Indus Setu Global Foundation was launched in 1994 at Stanford University. It was established to develop dialogue, cooperation and understanding between India, the US and their allies including Australia, Israel, Japan, the United Arab Emirates. Program to catalyze entrepreneurship economy in innovation, energy health care, women empowerment with special emphasis on strengthening the underprivileged. It has recently organized a SETU webinar about global views on cooperation to address the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in collaboration with the Consulate General of India under the Atma Nirbhar India and Silicon Valley Partnership series.
It also hosted the Chairman Tesla Board, co-hosted the meeting between the Delegation of the Lieutenant Governor of California and the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Prime Minister of India, collaborated with the President M.
