New Delhi: The United Forum of Bank Unions has called for a two-day nationwide strike on January 30 and 31 to press for various issues related to the 11th wage settlement of bank employees, a union leader said on Sunday.

Some of the issues related to the settlement, including 5 days week in banks, stagnation increments are not given to banks by the Indian Banks Association, besides issues of promotion and salary, pension fixation, United Forum of Bank Unions State Convener Mahesh Mishra Told. ,Also read: Tips and tricks: Follow these 5 ways to save income tax,

He said that the United Forum of Bank Unions has been trying to resolve the outstanding issues for the past 28 months but no positive response has been given by the Indian Banks’ Association.

A two-day strike has been called on January 30 and 31. Mishra claimed that one million employees and officers of all banks in the country would participate in the strike.
