Russian attacks destroyed an oil refinery in the central Poltava region and affected “critical infrastructure”, most likely oil facilities, near the port city of Odessa, local officials said on Sunday. In addition, explosions were heard early Monday in the cities of Kherson and Odessa in the south, while air raid sirens sounded in the east.

There was chaos in Pakistan’s national assembly on Sunday when preparations were on to bring a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. As the proceedings for the unbroken vote began, the Speaker rejected the motion of no confidence, following which President Arif Alvi dissolved the National Assembly (NA) on the advice of Prime Minister Khan.
