Assam: Recruitment exam allowed to be held offline. Guwahati News – Times of India

Guwahati: Assam The State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) on Tuesday allowed conduct of recruitment examinations in various government departments and entrance examinations for higher education across the state in offline mode following the COVID-19 protocol.
Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua, who is the chairman of the state executive committee of ASDMA, through an order, allowed the examination to be conducted from July 14. He issued the order in exercise of the powers conferred under section 22(2)(h). Disaster Management Act, 2005.
The order states, “The examination should be conducted with 50% seating capacity of the examination hall or 50 candidates, whichever is less. Also, not more than 200 candidates are allowed to take the examination in a single shift at any centre. should not be given.”
The ASDMA said that the candidates appearing for the examinations would be exempted from restrictions on inter-district movement and curfew.
