Assam: A woman BJP leader, Jonali Nath was found dead on National Highway 17 in Salpara area of ​​Goalpara district on Monday. According to the police, they have arrested a person for allegedly killing district BJP secretary Nath and dumping his body on NH 17. Inspector General of Police (CID) Devraj Upadhyay said that after recovering the body of the attacker, the police have launched a search operation to nab the attacker. Female leader.

They successfully nabbed the accused, identified as Hasnoor Islam, from his shop in Matia area in the afternoon. The accused told during interrogation that he was earlier in a relationship with the woman but a few months ago he married another woman.

After which BJP leaders clashed with him and they had an altercation in the car itself. During the argument, the accused attacked him, due to which he died. IGP said.

The accused dumped the woman leader’s body on the national highway and fled the spot in his car, he said.

Police reached the spot and sent the body of the deceased woman to Goalpara Civil Hospital for postmortem. The accused was produced in the court from where he was sent to police custody for five days.
