Ashish was born in a zamindar family. This was the time when in that area Dangerous robber Dadua The terror was in full swing. Ashish’s family members did not want this to affect his studies. So Ashish was sent to Prayagraj for protection and studies. There he studied from GIC to Inter.

Didn’t even think of joining politics while doing engineering.

Before joining politics, Ashish used to work in Kanpur Jal Nigam.

After Inter, Ashish did his B.Tech from Jhansi. After this, he worked as an engineer in Kanpur Jal Nigam. Ashish was happy with his job. Till that time he had no intention of joining politics.

After marriage with Anupriya Patel, a relationship with politics was also attached.

It was only after marrying Anupriya in 2009 that Ashish’s interest in politics started increasing.

Ashish married Anupriya Patel on 27 September 2009. She is the daughter of Sonelal Patel. Sonelal had founded the Apna Dal party in UP. It was only after marrying Anupriya that Ashish started getting involved in politics.

Ashish entered politics after 8 years of marriage
In the year 2017, till now Ashish used to help Anupriya in politics. But he himself was not a part of active politics. Before the 2017 assembly elections, there was a dispute between Anupriya Patel and mother Krishna Patel over the post in Apna Dal. After this, Anupriya Patel along with her husband Ashish Patel formed a party named Apna Dal (S). Ashish Patel was made the national president of the new party.

In 2017, Apna Dal had overtaken Congress in just 6 months.

The main face of the party was Anupriya Patel. But it was Ashish’s responsibility to strategize behind the scenes and adopt different tactics to make the party’s place in politics. In 2017, the party entered the 2017 assembly elections, just 6 months after Ashish became the national president. This new party got 12 seats in alliance with BJP. The party won 9 of these seats.

The count of the party’s MLAs in the assembly has gone up from 0 to 9 MLAs. Not only this, this party formed only 6 months ago and its national president Ashish Patel left behind a big national party like Congress in UP.

After the formation of Apna Dal (S), Ashish was made the national president of the party. Ashish was also elected MLC in May 2018.

Apna Dal (S) emerged as the third largest party of UP in 2022 with the help of Ashish

This time the Apna Dal (S) won 12 out of 17 seats in the elections.

Apna Dal (S) has emerged as the third largest party of UP in the second election itself. In the 2022 elections, the party contested on 17 seats, out of which it has won 12 seats and has overtaken the BSP and the Congress.

In an interview, the party members said, “Even the smallest of our party workers had direct access to Ashish ji and he used to listen to everyone and understand their problems as his own. This is the reason why the party has reached this stage today.”

On 25 March, Ashish Patel took oath as a cabinet minister.

On March 25, Ashish took oath as a cabinet minister. Three days later, on 28 March, he was made the Minister of Technical Education, Consumer Protection.
