Amavasya of the month of Ashadha: Amavasya has special significance in Hinduism. According to the Hindu calendar, the last date of the Krishna Paksha of every month is called Amavasya. The Amavasya of Ashadh month, which started from 25th June 2021, is on 9th July at 5:16 am. Amavasya Tithi (auspicious timing) will end the next day on Saturday, July 10 at 06:46 am. The fast of Ashadh Amavasya should be observed on Friday, July 9. The fast will be broken on July 10.
