Recently, Asha Bhosle was invited to put up a photo of her late sister Lata Mangeshkar at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyamandir Hall in Mumbai. He was joined by his other siblings – Hridaynath Mangeshkar and Usha Mangeshkar. During the programme, Asha Bhosle broke down remembering late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar and told how she was a pillar of strength for the entire family. Asha recalled how Lata took care of her siblings after their parents passed away. After this she broke down saying that Lata didi should have stayed with him for a few more years. Asha Bhosle further said that now she has no one to share her problems or seek blessings.

“My blessings are always with you whether you come here or not. Mai, Baba and I are always there for you.” Now after that whose blessings should I seek? To whom should I tell my troubles? Baba left when we were very young and after Mai Lata didi brought up all of us as a father, and after her today. We all have become orphans. I never thought all this would happen so soon. He should have been with us at least for a few more years,” Asha Bhosle was quoted as saying by DNA India.

For those unaware, Lata Mangeshkar passed away on the morning of 6 February this year. He was cremated the same day in the evening. Several celebrities and politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah Rukh Khan, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray paid their last respects to the singer. An era came to an end with the demise of the great singer. He sang more than 25,000 songs in over 36 languages ​​during his career. For his contribution to the Indian music industry, Mangeshkar was also honored with the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award, among many other National and Filmfare Awards.
