Veteran actor Sarath Babu passed away on May 22, 2023 at a hospital in Hyderabad after battling illness for some time. It is reported that the actor was undergoing treatment and died due to multiple organ failure. According to reports, he was shifted from Chennai to a hospital in Hyderabad after his health deteriorated.
Sarath Babu’s personal life was full of ups and downs. He was married thrice but had no heir. However, it was reported that he had a lot of siblings and was very close to his children as well. According to reports, Sarath Babu’s property has been divided into 13 shares for the children of his brothers and sisters. But even after that he had many properties, so it is being told that there may be a dispute regarding the partition. He owns various properties like malls, houses, flats, villas and other places in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, the industry paid tributes to the veteran actor. Superstar Rajinikanth also expressed his condolences through a tweet. It was also reported that the actor had also visited Sarath Babu’s house. He also spoke to the media during the last rites and said, “He (Sarath Babu) was a good human being. I have never seen him angry. All his films were huge hits. He had great affection for me. I am saddened by his death.”
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Sundararanjan and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also expressed their condolences to the family.
Sarath Babu made his Telugu film debut in 1973 with Rama Rajyam. Later, she worked with K. Balachander in Pattina Pravesham. However, he rose to prominence through Nizhalgal Nizamgiradhu, in which he co-starred with Kamal Haasan. She has also done films with Rajinikanth including Annamalai and Muthu. He was last seen in the Tamil film Vasanth Mullai and also had a role in Pawan Kalyan’s Vakil Saab.
