As the Marathi film industry grows, there is one big thing yet to be discovered.

Chandramukhi was released on April 29, while Dharamveer was released two weeks later on June 13.

Chandramukhi was released on April 29, while Dharamveer was released two weeks later on June 13.

Dharamveer, directed by Praveen Tarde and Sarsenapati Hambirao, as well as directed by him, was released in a span of just two weeks.

whereas Bollywood And Hollywood makes sure their movies don’t clash with popular movies, even though the star cast is completely different, the Marathi film fraternity is a bit confused in making it work.

Chadramukhi and Dharamveer – the first directed by Prasad Oak and the second directed by him – were released one after the other at the box office. Chandramukhi released on April 29, while Dharamveer was released exactly two weeks later on June 13. Prasad had also expressed his difficulties in promoting both the films.

It’s not him. Dharamveer, directed by Praveen Tarde and Sarsenapati Hambirao, was also released after a gap of two weeks. This creates confusion among the audience and they get stuck as to which movie to watch.

When a film hits the theaters, it is a matter of pride for both its cast and crew and has good box office collections. But due to this confusion, the overall box office collection of Marathi films is decreasing. In an exclusive interview with News18 Lokmat Digital, Praveen Tarde said, “It is up to the makers to decide the release date of the film.”

The promotion of Sarsenapati Hambirao and its success has shown that the Marathi film fraternity has upped its promotional game. And while the way these films are directed and promoted has improved significantly, audiences are losing interest in at least one of them due to the clash of the two promoted films.
