“The body is 90% burnt,” he said.

“Today, some women in our village overheard an elderly woman saying that she killed the newly wed. A community meeting was held on Saturday, where he was called and inquired about the incident. He confessed that five men planned to kill the woman and that she was strangled to death by Ranjit Bordoloi. Later, Bordaloi was dragged to the meeting, where he confessed to his crime. Angered by this, someone beat him up, then someone burnt him alive by pouring kerosene. Later, his body was buried,” informed the local youth.
