Narcotics Control Bureau officer Sameer Wankhede led the probe into the matter. Drugs case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan KhanNationalist Congress Party leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik on Monday retaliated on the allegations of forgery.

“The publication of my personal documents is defamatory in nature and an unnecessary invasion of my family’s privacy. It is aimed at defaming me, my family, my father and my late mother,” Wankhede said in a statement. The action had put his family under “extreme mental and emotional pressure” and he himself was left “a victim of slanderous attacks”.

Nevertheless, it will be probed by Deputy Director General Dnyaneshwar Singh, who is expected to speak to his colleague in the matter tomorrow. Mr. Singh today declined to comment on whether Sameer Wankhede would be removed; He told NDTV, “It is too early to comment…”
