Aryan Khan’s bail application, arrested in the Mumbai cruise drugs case, is to be heard in the Bombay High Court today. The special thing is that today famous lawyer and former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi will represent Aryan Khan. He himself has given this information. Rohatgi has reached Mumbai on Monday night itself. The serial number of Aryan’s application is 57, so the hearing is expected to start at 12 noon.

Earlier, Aryan’s bail application has been rejected twice by the Special NDPS Court and the Qila Court. While rejecting the bail, the court had said, “Prima facie it appears that Aryan was regularly involved in activities related to drugs.”

The NDPS court, in its judgment, had said that even through WhatsApp chat, it appears that Aryan was in touch with the drug supplier. In this case, the court had also rejected the bail applications of Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested 8 people before a cruise from Mumbai to Goa on October 3 and on the basis of their interrogation, a total of 20 people have been arrested so far. Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan has been lodged in Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai since October 8 in this case. Aryan is accused of possessing and using drugs under the NDPS Act.

At present, these 3 situations are being created regarding Aryan’s bail.
First: The High Court should hear Aryan’s bail plea till October 29. Grant the bail application on or before 29. Then Aryan can go to his home from 29 to 30 October.

Second: Aryan’s lawyer will seek bail in today’s hearing, but NCB will oppose bail on the basis of fresh episodes and Aryan’s chat in last 3-4 days. The chances of the hearing being held in a day are slim, as the debate can go on for a long time. The High Court is open till 29 October.

Then 30th October is Saturday and 31st is Sunday. This is followed by Diwali holidays from November 1 to November 15. Usually, the filing of the case takes place in the court on Saturday. The chances of being heard are slim. However, if the judge decides at the last moment, the special court can hear. If the bail is rejected in this, then Aryan will have to apply in the Supreme Court.

Third: There is also a possibility that like the NDPS court, the High Court will reserve the decision on bail till November 15. However, there is little hope of this. One of the reasons for this is that the roster of judges will be changed after Diwali, then a new judge will come on the bench and again all the arguments should be placed before them, it is not possible.
