It is the beginning of a new era at Anfield as former Feyenoord coach Arne Slot was Monday confirmed as Jurgen Klopp’s successor at Liverpool by the Premier League club.
The club said in a statement that the Dutchman, 45, had “agreed a deal to become the club’s new head coach” and would take up the position on June 1, subject to a work permit.

Klopp, who was in charge of his last game for Liverpool on Sunday, took it upon himself to introduce Slot to the club, creating a chant for the Feyenoord man, after his side’s 2-0 win against Wolves.
