Jammu: Army failed intrusion Bid along the Line of Control (Place) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, defense officials said on Friday.
This is the second infiltration attempt foiled by the Army in the last five days.
“There was an infiltration attempt (by terrorists) along the LoC in Poonch sector last night,” said PRO Defense.
He said that the troops on our side along the LoC have foiled the infiltration bid with effective firing.
Further details are awaited, the PRO said. He, however, denied any ceasefire violation along the LoC.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, two terrorists were gunned down by Army personnel while thwarting a similar infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
