Ludhiana: After an old enmity, a group of eight men attacked a teenager with swords and sharp weapons in Ghoda Colony on Thursday evening.
15-year-old Golu was alone at home at that time.
His elder brother Sunny said, “Someone knocked on the door. When Golu opened it, the armed men attacked him. They fled leaving him covered in blood. Neighbors called me and I took Golu to Civil Hospital in Ludhiana, from where he was referred to PGIMER. He was further referred to GMCH, Chandigarh. We have now admitted him to a private hospital in Ludhiana.”
SHO sub-inspector Vijay Kumar of Moti Nagar police station said, “A police team had gone to the hospital to record his statement, but doctors said he was unfit to do so. We will register an FIR after recording his statement as his condition is now stated to be stable.”
