Arjun Rampal’s reaction to NCB arresting girlfriend’s brother

On Saturday, Agisilaos Demetriades, brother of actor Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Unit (NCB) after recovering drugs from him in Goa. This was the second time Agisilas had been taken into custody on a drug count. Actor Arjun Rampal reacted to the same and clarified that his name has been dragged into the matter even though he has nothing to do with it.

Arjun Rampal said in a statement, “Dear friends, followers and public, I am shocked and shocked today with this latest development. It is unfortunate that my name is being dragged unnecessarily in every publication, however I have no affiliation. So far as my family and I are concerned, my immediate family and I are law-abiding citizens. And while the incident involves a person who is a relative of my partner, I have a relationship other than this person or not related.”

The actor also urged that his name should not be used in an arrest or drug case as his family is a law-abiding citizen. He further said, “I request the media not to make headlines using my name as we are not related and it is causing hurt and confusion to my own family and people with whom I have a professional relationship. Have faith in our legal system and whoever is on the wrong side of the law should be treated fairly as a judiciary. I have faith in the system in these matters.”

He concluded, “Let the law take its course and please refrain from associating my partner and my name with anything that we have nothing to do with. I appreciate all your support and humbly ask you to be honest in this regard.” I request you to be more sensitive.”

Meanwhile, in October last year, the NCB had arrested Agisilos Demetriades after raiding a resort in Lonavala, where he had also allegedly found drugs. In December, a special narcotics court in Mumbai had granted him bail. The Special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court granted bail to Demetriades on a surety of Rs 50,000. It asked the Demetriades to submit their passports and not to leave the city without notifying the Narcotics Control Bureau.
