Apple rolls out iOS 15.4 with ability to unlock devices with face masks: details

New Delhi: The latest iOS 15.4 update has been announced, which includes the ability to unlock the device while wearing a face mask. The latest update from the iPhone maker lets users unlock their devices via Face ID even while wearing a mask. It will function as normal Face ID, but will scan the areas around the user’s eyes for authentication. Apple is also rolling out iPadOS 15.4 which adds features like Universal Control, thus, letting multiple Macs and iPads be controlled with a single mouse or trackpad and keyboard, the media has reported.

The Universal Controls feature requires a user’s Mac to be running macOS Monterey 12.3, also released Monday, and iPads running iPadOS 15.4.
