If you are planning to replace your out-of-warranty iPhone’s battery, be prepared to spend more as Apple has increased the cost of replacements going forward.

If you are planning to replace your out-of-warranty iPhone’s battery, be prepared to spend more as Apple has increased the cost of replacements going forward.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple raised the cost of battery replacements from $69 to $99 at the time of the iPhone 14’s release, but now, the company is raising the price for all older generation models, and starting at $99 for the iPhone 14 series. Price is maintained.

Apple said earlier this year, “The current out-of-warranty battery service charges will be in effect through the end of February 2023.” But now, “effective March 1, 2023, the out-of-warranty battery service fee will be increased by $20 for all iPhone models prior to the iPhone 14.”

For handsets with a Home button, such as the oldest supported iPhone, the iPhone 5, the price will now increase from $49 to $69. For iPhones without a home button (iPhone X and later), the cost is now $89, which is $10 less than the cost of replacing the iPhone 14 series battery.

Additionally, according to AppleInsider, the cost of battery replacement has increased by $30 for the MacBook Air, while it has increased by $50 for the MacBook Pro. Furthermore, the cost of an iPad battery replacement varies between $99 and $199, depending on the model.

Users with AppleCare+ or iPhones that are still under warranty are unaffected by the price increase. Also, it is currently unclear whether the price hike is applicable to the US and whether we can expect a hike in other countries including India.
