Apple Glass may have a direct retinal projector that can project a screen onto your eyes – Times of India

arrival of apple glasses Negotiations have been going on for some years. As Business Insider reports, the tech giant is now working on a technology for its glasses that can project the screen directly onto a user’s retina without the need for a traditional display.
According to the patent filed in 2017, the projection technology, called Direct Retinal Projector, would have one or more controllers, a scanning mirror, an ellipsoid mirror, a projector, an adjustable focusing lens and a position sensing detector.
There may be other components in the final design of the glasses, as it seeks to bring both augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) components into its future glasses. According to the patent, “describes a VR or AR headset system that may incorporate or implement various technologies and components of a direct retina projector”.
How will the glasses work?
The direct retinal projector is expected to track the user’s gaze, so it can automatically adjust the projection of the light field and to accurately reflect it into the user’s eyeball, without the use of a traditional display Can use mirror. If the system uses AR/VR technology, users will experience an immersive artificial environment, where they can feel as though they are present in that environment.
expected availability
Business Insider reports that Apple’s first glasses are expected to be released in the first half of 2022. However, whether these glasses will feature a direct Retina projector remains to be confirmed. It is highly unlikely that Apple’s first generation glasses will have this technology. However, we can see it in its second generation specs which may be released in 2023. This will be Apple’s first new offering after the Apple Watch.
