Virat Kohli’s biggest cheerleader his wife Anushka Sharma was seen at the stands of Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday night. The former captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore was playing against Delhi Capitals along with his fellow team members. While glimpses of Anushka from the match were shared by fans online, her reaction to Virat’s one-handed dismissal to Rishabh Pant grabbed the attention of the fans.
In the 17th over of DC’s innings, Rishabh scored 34 runs in just 16 balls. However, he miscalculated Mohammad Siraj’s next delivery and lost his wicket after Virat took a brilliant one-handed catch. This catch not only impressed the fans but Anushka was also smiling after this difficult catch. These days Anushka is busy with her upcoming film ‘Chakda Express’. The film, which marks the return of Anushka since the birth of Shoonya and Vamika, is based on the life of famous Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. A source told News18 that the film will be shot in four of the top cricket stadiums in the world. “Yorkshire County Cricket Club has announced a new sponsorship deal with Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films, which will take over as principal sponsor at Headingley for the 2022 season. So, it is certain that Anushka will be shooting in this iconic stadium. Also, given Jhulan’s cricket trajectory, Anushka is expected to shoot at Lord’s and some other big world cricket stadiums. Looks like she will travel to at least four big stadiums for the film.”
