India took a vital 2-1 lead with Joe Root’s 157-run win over England in the fourth Test of the five-match series on Monday. It was only the second time in their history that India have won a Test at the Oval. And this has come after more than fifty years.
Actress Anushka Sharma, who is married to Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, was among those who praised the team for its never-give-up attitude, which resulted in memorable performances for bowlers on what was considered a flat pitch.
Sharing a picture of Team India in her Instagram stories, Anushka wrote, “This team.” Then the blue heart.
India did not have a good start in the Oval Test as they were bowled out for 191 in the first innings. However, he made up for it in his next innings and scored a total of 466 runs. England, on the other hand, scored 291 in their first innings but were bowled out for 210 in the second innings on Monday.
The fifth and final match of the series will take place at Old Trafford in Manchester and will start on 10 September. This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship.
