Anurag Thakur flags off 15 mobile medical units for Himachal Pradesh to celebrate PM Modi’s birthday

Himachal Pradesh is expected to provide health benefits to over 21 lakh citizens in the next five years.

Prime Minister’s Eve Narendra ModiOn the birthday of Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, 15 mobile medical units have been sent to Himachal Pradesh to address any medical situation especially now in the wake of COVID.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also joined Anurag in this program, who flagged off these units from Thakur’s Delhi residence.

Speaking on the occasion, Hamirpur MP Thakur said, “Our government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given top priority to the health of the nation, especially the people living in difficult terrain of states like Himachal. It is the best birthday gift we can give to a Prime Minister whose vision is to see a healthy and happy India.

Highlighting the importance of health and health infrastructure on the occasion, Mansukh Mandaviya congratulated the initiative taken by Anurag Thakur and said, “Gone are the days when a responsible member of parliament could only build roads for his constituency. But now Anurag has demonstrated that even a responsible member of Parliament will take the initiative to ensure the health of his constituents.”

Three years ago Anurag Thakur started the initiative to send these mobile units to his constituency Hamirpur using his MPLAD funds, but now these vans will reach the length and breadth of Himachal to ensure a healthy state.

So far, 17 mobile units have been sent to over 800 panchayats covering more than 5,000 villages and health benefits are being provided to over 6 lakh citizens.

With this initiative, health benefits are expected to be delivered at the doorsteps of over 21 lakh citizens in the next five years.
