One of the highlights of the daily soap is the on-screen chemistry between actress Rupali Ganguly and actor Gaurav Khanna in the television show Anupama. As fans continue to root for the on-screen couple Anupama and Anuj Kapadia, Rupali revealed in a recent interview how her real-life husband reacts to their new stardom.
Rupali recently won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Most Promising Actress in a TV Show and shared a picture with her husband Ashwin K Verma hugging the trophy.
Speaking to Times of India, Rupali said, “My husband is loving the current romantic track between Anuj Kapadia and Anupama. We both watch the show together. He is my biggest critic as well as my biggest critic. Big supporters too.” Rupali also added that since Ashwin herself has directed many commercials, she captures the nuances and gives her feedback on things that she could have done better or that didn’t work. The 44-year-old actress also added, “So I listen to him a lot and try to improvise in him. My husband is my biggest fan.”
Talking about the unconventional love story portrayed in Anupama, Rupali said, “I never thought that I would get to romance on screen at this age, especially the one I am doing right now which will beat your heart. increases it.” Rupali also added that though there is no physical contact between the characters, the two still manage to portray their affection.
The actress also mentioned that “mature love stories will always have their fans.” Rupali told the national daily, “I mean it’s wonderful to see young people romancing, but for us women, who are above 40, characters like Anupama and Anuj come along, who make us believe that our lives.
