New Delhi: In a shocking incident of murder of a teenage girl in the national capital on Sunday, a video of which is being widely shared on social media. According to the police, the victim, a resident of JJ Colony of Shahbad Dairy in North West Delhi, was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend, identified as Sahil. The accused stabbed the 16-year-old girl several times before pelting her with a stone. A police officer said she was reportedly passing through the road when the accused accosted her.
In a video that is now going viral on social media platforms, it can be seen that the girl child has been pinned to a wall and is being assaulted several times by the accused. The chilling murder took place as dozens of people passed within inches of the assailant.
Police said the victim and the accused were in a relationship but had a fight on Saturday, while when the victim planned to attend a birthday party the next day, she was repeatedly stabbed and also pelted with stones .
Police said the post-mortem would confirm how many times the victim was stabbed. The accused is absconding and raids are being conducted to arrest him.
Based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s father, a case has been registered under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code at Shahbad Dairy police station, police said.
DCW chief reacts to Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy massacre video
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chairperson Swati Maliwal reacted to the Shahbad Dairy massacre video and said that she is issuing a notice to the police.

The DCW chief said he had ‘not seen anything more sinister’ in his career.
Maliwal said, “I appeal to the central government to convene a high-level meeting with the Union Home Minister, Delhi LG, DCW chief and Delhi CM.”
