Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel will be awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) on the 75th Independence Day. Of these, 20 jawans were honored for bravery during the clashes in Eastern Ladakh in May-June, 2020. These are the highest gallantry medals received by ITBP for bravery in border skirmish/border guarding duty.

On June 15, 2020, 8 personnel will be awarded PMG for showing valor and protecting the motherland at Galwan. 6 personnel have been nominated to PMG for gallantry action during the violent clash on May 18, 2020 in Finger IV area.
