Ankita Lokhande wore the blue and pink saree that Alia Bhatt wore to promote her film.
It is not uncommon for Bollywood celebs to often dress in the same way or take inspiration from one another. As such, Ankita Lokhande caught everyone’s attention when she showed up to set in a cassata saree, previously worn by Alia Bhatt while promoting Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Ankita Lokhande looked stunning in the blue and pink saree with peach hues. Cassata sarees were extensively worn by Alia Bhatt while she was promoting the film and this particular blue saree was among fan favourites. When the paps pointed it out to Ankita, she asked in Marathi, “Really?” They also said that she looked like Alia Bhatt and her reaction has gone viral across social media. See here:
The paps also said that she looked more beautiful than Alia, but the actress politely declined that. Ankita and Alia have another special connection. Alia Bhatt made her debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. After her Bigg Boss 17 stint, Ankita Lokhande was reportedly offered Student of the Year 3. However, the actress rejected the project.
Recently, News18 Showsha exclusively learnt from a source, “Yes, Ankita was approached for Student Of The Year 3. I am not sure about the role she was offered but she was definitely asked if she could be a part of the SOTY franchise. However, she has rejected the offer and nobody knows the reason behind her decision.”
Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande was recently seen in the film, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, which also starred Randeep Hooda in the lead. The film, released on March 22, is based on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and his contribution during the Indian Independence struggle. Besides this, Ankita’s music video with her businessman husband, Vicky Jain was also released recently. It was titled Laa Pila De Sharaab.
As for Alia Bhatt, she is currently prepping for her YRF spy-verse film with Sharvari Wagh. Alia has also signed Love and War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The film will be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will see the director take a break from his signature period dramas.
