Animal box office collection day 2: Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is breaking records at the box office.

Animal Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is unstoppable at the box office. After recording a massive opening of Rs 63.8 crores, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has witnessed a rise on day 2, pushing the film to collect Rs 100 crores. As per the box office trading platform Sacnilk, Animal collected Rs 66 crores on its Day 2.

It has been reported that Animal witnessed a big jump in occupancy in Mumbai, Delhi/NCR, Pune and Hyderabad. The Telugu version also drew audiences in Hyderabad. It is likely that Animal could keep this momentum going on Sunday as well.

Animal clashed with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur and outdid the film. Released on December 1, Animal revolves around a man and his toxic relationship with his father. Vijay (played by Ranbir) is an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father, including gun down 200 people with machine gun. However, despite his efforts, he struggles to get a seal of approval from his emotionally unavailable father (played by Anil Kapoor). His unhealthy relationship with his father impacts his relationship with his wife (played by Rashmika Mandanna). The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given Animal an ‘A’ certificate. The film features some bold scenes, including Ranbir Kapoor walking into a frame nude. The film’s run time is 3 hours and 35 minutes.

News18 Showsha’s review of the film reads, “Animal is for brave hearts (brace yourself for a brutal throat-slitting scene). The film is dark, loud and garish but also unapologetic. It has guns blazing with the background score sometimes overpowering the dialogues. But somehow, all of that works. Amid all the grimness and goriness, you will also find yourself cracking up from time to time, thanks to Sandeep’s cheeky approach. Animal might not meet the tall claims made by the makers but it’s an amusing roller coaster ride that will keep you hooked throughout.”
