However, it was later revealed that the viral clip of Ranbir throwing a fan’s phone was part of an ad shoot for a smartphone company, which features Ranbir as its brand ambassador. After Ranbir was trolled by fans on social media, another video clip was released showing how Ranbir gifted the fan another phone from the brand he was endorsing.
