Rohit Sharma gets mad at Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant slipped a bit as he tried running and grab the ball. Rohit wasn’t happy and vented out his anger at the young keeper for missing the chance.
Rohit Sharma is one interesting character on the field, especially when the young players are around him. The broadcaster’s camera never fails to capture his unfiltered reactions while the fans enjoy his free-flowing comments on the stump mic. Something similar was on display on Monday when India took on Australia in their final Super 8 game against Australia in the T20 World Cup in St Lucia. The Indian skipper lost his cool and lashed out at Rishabh Pant for missing the catch of Aussie skipper Mitchell Marsh.

It was the second over of Australia’s chase when Jasprit Bumrah created a chance with a length delivery which bounced sharply onto Marsh. The Australian skipper looked to play the pull but gloved it in the air, towards Pant’s left. However, the wicketkeeper slipped a bit as he tried running and grab the ball.
Mitchell Marsh, who hadn’t gone off the mark, got a life but Rohit wasn’t happy and vented out his anger at Pant for missing the chance to dismiss the Australian captain early.
Earlier, Rohit smashed a 41-ball 92 as India amassed 205 for 5 against Australia on a belter in St Lucia. On the best batting surface of the tournament, Australia put India in to bat and Rohit made the most of the conditions with a sublime knock comprising seven fours and eight sixes including a recording extending 200th in the format.
Rohit never took the foot off the pedal and went hammer and tongs against Starc, whose second over yielded as many as 29 runs, his most expensive in the format. Rohit did the bulk of the damage in his 87-run stand with number three Rishabh Pant. On the other hand, the Aussie had a tough outing as the star bowlers of the team failed to leave an impact.
Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa went wicketless while their colleagues leaked runs. However, Josh Hazlewood seemed to be bowling on a different pitch, conceding only 14 runs while taking one wicket in his four overs.
