Andhra CM’s mother quits YSR Congress YS Vijayamma, mother of Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy quit YSR Congress on Friday along with her daughter Sharmila’s newly formed YSR Telangana Party as honorary president. Vijayamma said she will always be close to Jagan, but has extended her political support to daughter Sharmila.

Announcing her decision to step down, she said, “Sharmila is fighting a single battle in Telangana to carry forward the ideals of her father. I have to support her. I was in a dilemma whether I belong to the two political parties.” I can become a member. It is difficult for me to continue as the honorary chairman of YSRC.”

“I never thought that such a situation would arise. I don’t know why it happened, but I think it is God’s decision,” he said.

Vijayamma said she was stepping down as the honorary president of the YSRC to avoid any unwanted controversy over her role. For some time now there are reports that all is not well between Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister regarding property related issues.
