Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 13.

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, are all set to tie the knot. Ahead of their wedding, the couple hosted the Mameru ceremony at Ambani’s Antilia residence in Mumbai on Wednesday, July 3.

Antilia Decked Up For Anant and Radhika’s Mameru Ceremony

Photos and videos of Antilia have surfaced on social media in which the residence is seen all decked up. It is decorated with red, pink and orange flowers. Golden lights have also been put all around to enhance its beauty. A digital screen with Anant and Radhika’s caricatures on it has also been put up. “All the best,” it reads.

Radhika Merchant Looks Prettiest In Traditional Outfit 

In another video that surfaced on social media, bride-to-be Radhika Merchant is seen entering the venue. She is seen dressed in a heavily embroidered orange lehenga and looks prettiest as always. She accessorised her look with traditional jhumkas, maang-teeka and neckline. Watch the video here:

What Is a Mameru Ceremony?

Mameru is a Gujarati wedding tradition in which the maternal uncle (mama) of the bride visits her to gift sweets and gifts. Usually, Panetar saree, jewellery, ivory or white chura are given to the bride by her uncle. Besides this, sweets and dry fruits are also packed beautifully in trousseau trays as gifts.

When Will Anant Ambani Marry Radhika Merchant?

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 13. Guests have started receiving the ‘Save The Date’ invitation, which is a traditional red and gold card, disclosing some details of the three-day function.

The wedding ceremonies will kick off on July 12. The first ceremony will be the auspicious Shubh Vivah or wedding function. The dress code is Indian traditional. July 13 will be the day of Shubh Aashirwad and the dress code is Indian formal. July 14 will be the Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception and the dress code is Indian chic. All these functions will be held at the Jio World Centre in BKC.
